Minimally invasive refixation of a torn meniscus with fibrin adhesive
The torn meniscus is refixed with fibrin glue. This procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthetic (only the injection channel is anaesthetised) under MRI control. In open MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), a fine special MRI-suitable introducer is inserted into the meniscus. The MRI allows checking and controlling the position of the introducer with highest precision.
